YOU COULD SPOT CANCER

The Knight Cancer Institute at OHSU (Oregon Health & Science University) specializes in cancer research and treatment. Since the best cure for cancer is prevention, we were tasked to develop a campaign encouraging people to use the most accessible tool to check for cancer: their own two eyes.

We developed several concepts for different types of cancer, each building off the idea that if cancer is "spotted" early, it can more easily be prevented. This idea of the "spot" carries through each cancer campaign. Melanoma can be visually diagnosed, manifesting as an irregular spot on your skin. On the other hand, Breast Cancer can be spotted via regular check ups. This is a simple but powerful campaign, making it memorable and effective. At 98K views, the Melanoma spot was OHSU's most viewed video on their YouTube, with the Breast Cancer spot trailing slightly at 27K views.
